Again I needed a couple of skips for the 80s song although I probably should have got it at the start.
And again with the 60s I needed a couple of skips but I DEFINITELY should have got it at the start.
70s is a strange 1. I played it right through and typed the only tune I thought was anyway close to it. Turns out I chose the wrong song but the correct artist.🙄

I don’t remember ever hearing the 70s song. If I have, I haven’t been left a lasting impression of it. I could hum something over the riff but it felt like a losing battle. The band are famous but were around so long and had so many different line-ups it’s possible to get totally confused and that’s besides the Heardle specific déjà vu and brain fog issues.
Heardle gave me four options when I chanced the band on the basis that it sounded like someone was a something something. I hadn’t heard of two options. The top one of those two was correct. No credit for scamming like I did. I’ve listened to it 3 times now and I’m kinda digging it but I really don’t remember it. I feel like I should and I hope I’m not losing my marbles but I really don’t.
80s was a pain. I knew I knew the intro riff as it’s the chorus riff so there was no need to skip on and fail- but, like on so many occasions, it took forever for it to come to me. I’ve said it before, I think, that our brains always look in short term memories and the answer will never be there. It’s at the bottom of the deep freeze and not the door of the fridge. Telling your brain it’s not Backstreet Boys and knowing that someone else covered the song is no help. It’ll come when your brain is distracted from the search and it did, twenty minutes later, while I was shopping in the wrong aisle.

70s not a clue. Where do they dig these songs up from ?
80s - Oh my run here is well and truly over now! I know the artist and the song but that drum machine intro just goes on forever. Don't waste your skips cos it remains the same the whole intro.
Now I just have to complete my CV for the British PM job !

No notion of the 70s. Couldn’t even have had a stab at the artist. Sorry if it’s one we should all know but I don’t.
Couldn’t connect the 80s intro with the chorus. It’s a famous song with a famous chorus by a famous band. I think some Billie Jean took a shine to the bassline a couple of years later. And I recognised the drum machine as a Roland CR-78. No points for that though. Oh dear. What a day.
Hopefully the Major will have kept the flag flying for us while I get ready for Naked Twister.
