Oh dear. Not a good morning in the Rubble household.
60s I recognised the intro alright but all I could think of was Swanee River. Had to skip to the vocals to get it.
70s was a big X for me. Funny enough my daughter would have got it.
80s everybody will get straight away.
So another poor performance by me.☹
Other than a momentary blip where my brain embarrassed me by going to a movie instead of a singer I love, the 60s and 80s suited me best.
70s I just typed in what I thought the sound was on the very first skip and Heardle did the rest. Scam.
Sorry artists and very passionate fans of the band. I think I would have got the band during the skips from the sound but I wouldn’t have known the song well enough to name. I shall enjoy getting to know it better. 2/3 for me.

I can hear a melodic connection with the opening of the intro. Today's 60s song originally is from 1932. The 60s version also contains elements of a Duke Ellington song from 1941. Swanee River dates back even further but I doubt those versions would sound like the 1935 movie version with Bing Crosby.

Woeful day for me on the memory front. I’ve either never heard the intro to the ridiculously famous 80s track or I’ve managed to forget it in its entirety. The first 2 notes made me think of Fleetwood Mac. After that I had nothing.
70s: Heardle managed to find another song starting with a drumroll. By the second skip I realised it wasn’t Hawaii Five-O and could’ve chanced it but waited until the W sound.
60s: The singing pattern made me think of The Zombies She’s Not There. I half-know the chorus but that’s not even half the name of the game.
