31 October 1975. The classic pop single Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen was released in the UK. It topped the UK Singles Chart for 9 weeks and for another 5 weeks after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. It’s the only song to reach the UK Christmas No.1 twice by the same artist.
