60’s I’ve never heard before.

70’s I know the song and the artist but not the intro.

80’s I guessed the artist straight away. Heardle gave me two options and my 50-50 was right 🤗

If you read my post earlier Lois you would see that I actually posted the 80s answer. Straight up I did !😉

Well I did get all 3 but not all straight up tonight.

60s I did recognise the intro but just couldn’t put my finger on it so had to skip to the opening vocals. I'm more familiar with the recording of this song by a solo artist and would recognise it instantly.

70s I wasn’t familiar with the intro but after a couple of skips the vocals are instantly recognisable although I’m probably more familiar with the song as a duet. I actually think I heard the other artist sing the song in the past so both artists must have recorded a solo version as well as the duet.

80s once again instantly recognisable but I doubt that Margaret is a fan. Well at least it’s not a SAW production!😉

These songs suited me even if there was work sharing involved. Heardle gave me all the artists when I put in the song titles. I think I would've guessed two of them grand but not the 80s which I had forgotten. 70s I found easiest because the first few notes are the song title. I love those kinda ones. They jog jaded memories in the sharpest way even if you haven't heard the song in forever.

I had read what you wrote, Barney, but by the time I got to the third song the clue was too cryptic for me. Now I can see the genius of it 😎🥰

Think I had the exact same result as yourself, Barney. Needed the vocals for the 60's and 70's. Got the 80's straight away 💪😂

Worth reading:

””Will You Love Me Tomorrow”, sometimes known as “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”,[1] is a song with words written by Gerry Goffin and music composed by Carole King. It was originally recorded in 1960 by the Shirelles at Bell Sound Studios in New York City, with this version going to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song is also notable for being the first song by a black all-girl group to reach number one in the United States.[2] It has since been recorded by many artists over the years, including a 1971 version by co-writer Carole King.

And splicing? Like a mash-up but in the 70s? $50m lawsuits?

  • As usual I got the 80s track straight away.

60s – Ahh kick me ! I had the artist but instead of typing their name I typed in another 1 of their songs. Sunday night fog I guess.

70s – Sorry, not familiar with the song.😟

60's I got the band when the vocals started but went for Dedicated Follower Of Fashion. Did you go for that too Barney? Was "kick" a cryptic clue if you swap a letter 👍😅 After that boo boo I then got it right with the other choice. I kinda know the song but not that well.

70's I know the band but not the song.

80's was a relief. So easy 😊👏

Are we tied in the lead Barney 🏆👏

That was indeed the 60s song I went for even though I knew it wasn't the intro that I know - Confused.com !

Once again I should have waited til daylight and my brain cells might have been awake.

So we're tied at the moment Lois. A bit difficult to play naked twister though ! 😜

I think we’ve had the band in the 60s before but the first skip wasn’t enough for me. Second skip was almost the word “coz” and that wasn’t enough either. Third gave me the song and the band together.

70s I guessed the band after a few skips but I didn’t type it in in case Heardle just gave me an answer I didn’t know. It went down to the wire and the appearance of the word “yankee”. I haven’t heard the song in a long, long time.

80s lifted the worry after the hard work of the others.

Have we not had Dedicated Follower Of Fashion already or am I losing it? Maybe it was Lola?

Thanks for the spoiler alert Lois but I've been trying to do them on my own for the last few days. It's not fair on the Major having to be the canary in the goldmine every time. Although the hints have saved me many times! 🤗🤘
