Bottled these coz I started thinking of the wrong weather for the 70s and a very late 70s song for the 80s. So I took some skips that shouldn’t have been necessary.

Well I actually had to take an extra skip for the 70s 1 Major, got it just before the vocals kicked in. Not the band I was expecting though.🤔
And I too had 1 skip for the 80s and instant 60s 1.
So you’re leader of the pack at this stage Major !😘
Having listened back to the tracks I should have got the 80s 1 immediately and the 70s 1 sooner but it is a bank holiday Monday up here so that’s my excuse for not firing on all 4 cylinders!😜
Oh and it actually was the 70s artist I was expecting after all – I hadn’t scrolled the page down far enough to get the band’s full title – told ye I wasn’t so hot this morning. !🙄
60s & 70s were recognisable after a couple of skips but I've never heard of the 80s song

I seem to have matched with Forrest again tonight! No doubt I needed a few more skips than yourself, Forrest, but basically the same result 🤗
Awake tonight so I gave it a lash and 3/3 !
My only disappointment is that I used a skip for the 70s song and literally as I was pressing the button I realised the answer.🙄
So it should have been no skips but unfortunately I must confess to my crime.
Maybe if I had waited til morning I might be more alert. Well that's assuming I get some sleep !

You’re in the lead Major. 80s was a total struggle for me—not fully sure why—really famous artist, famous song but the intro didn’t make me think of the chorus. Ironically there was no point in skipping. All the information was there in the first 2 seconds. Nothing new or helpful happened in the next 10 or 12. In the end my guess was a Hail Mary
And even then, because the production was so generic 8os to my ears, I was half-hoping I was wrong and that it was some Stock Aitken Waterman release to excuse my slowness. 🤣

For the 80s, I knew the artist straightaway, but a lot of their music was quite "samey", so picking the specific song title proved difficult for me, not matter how much of the into I listened to, which seems to be the same as Major Houlihan. No idea how Barney got the song without any skips.

An ex girlfriend always had the artist's tapes on in my car way back in the day. I honestly thought it would be instantly recognisable to everyone.
Fair play Barney, same as Forrest and Margaret I kinda guessed the artist and should have had a stab at the song, but couldn't manage that much! Straight in with the 60's and 70's though 😎

I would be reasonably familiar with most of Madge's songs from that era, but I thought the intros for most of them were quite similar (could be wrong, of course).

Ah sure when you're young like I was you fall in love at the drop of a hat Forrest ! As Madge says "I've learned my lesson well ".

Well 3/3 tonight but I had to use all the skips til the vocals began on the 60s track to have any idea of the song title.
70s I was glad I got it without using a skip.
And no one will need a skip for the 80s 1, I'm certain of that tonight.
