I’m no expert on Koreans eating puppies for Christmas, BR, so I looked into it.
North Korea aside, where Kim Jong-un is rumoured to have ordered the eating of all pets — pets are symbols of bourgeois elites — in the wake of food shortages he denies exist; killing dogs for meat consumption is illegal in South Korea. It’s mainly the Catholics that are consumers — most Korean Buddhists consider eating any kind of meat or dairy a moral offence. The vast majority of the population has never eaten dog meat. The 3-4% percentage that has consumed dog meat is similar to Switzerland — the consumption that still exists seems to be generally related to medicinal beliefs. The anti-woke brigade there remain against any progress in the face of massive adoption from dog shelter campaigns.

The 60s first skip suited my memory best even though I’d know the 70s track better overall. That’s Heardle.
I wasn’t fully confident of the 70s but I went for it. If I had heard the 2nd skip I’d likely have panicked and had to go one more in case it was YBAWS. That song is from the 60s but panic wouldn’t care.
I chanced the 80s on the first skip with the hi-hats and keyboards but if I had kept listening I would have lost confidence until 10 seconds in and then been kicking myself.

70s I'm afraid I had to skip til the vocals.
And the 80s track I had to skip til the keyboards.
So not all bad but still far from good.☹
60s and 70s suited me best. The Major probably got the 60s in .0001 seconds. 🤘
Never realised before that The Strokes took a bit of a shine to the 70s guitar intro. 😉
80s: Just as well I had a guess before running out of skips as I got the song wrong and I needed to try another song by the same band to cross the finish line. From the beat and the keys I assumed it was going to be their song with the more “street” title. Gotta run before any more work comes in.

I have to ask Major, what is YBAWS? I have tried but I’m beginning to feel like Scorpio when Dirty Harry asks him “Did I fire 5 shots or 6?” Well it’s not a life or death situation on this occasion but if you did have a gun to my head I’d still never guess the answer.☹
A classic example of my faulty memory, Major. 😅
Firstly, the song is actually G,YBAWS—Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon. So, I've had that wrong for the longest time. 🤦♀️
Secondly, the big strum I remember isn't at the very start—it comes just after a little intro. It's also there underneath the singing for the intro but that wasn't what I was thinking of.
Thirdly, I can't remember but there's probably more. 😂

Thanks Major. The top 1 is indeed the album I remember and indeed the track wasn’t on the album so my memory isn’t as bad as I thought.😉
