70s suited my memory best. I think we posted it very recently.
60s I knew I knew it on the first skip but just had to steady myself and actually think of the title.
The 80s was weird.
I didn’t consciously remember the song on the first skip and think oh that’s x or even that I may get it. My first thought was this is another slow dancing one for the Major. 😉 But some building call and answer lines from the middle of the song popped into my head out of nowhere and kept going until I got to the chorus. Even after guessing it and Heardle giving the opening 30 seconds I still don’t consciously remember any of it. That’s brains and subconscious triggers. Just when you least expect them.
9 times out of 10 I would’ve been saying the song is totally famous but I don’t remember the intro.

I really should have had a clean sweep today but I wasted a skip on the 60s track which was basically more of the same but my brain did eventually kick into gear.
70s and 80s both instantly recognisable so I'm guessing that it wasn't a bad day all round.😎
I had to play the 80’s song for a friend preparing for a singing audition Margaret. That’s a long time ago, but, seeing as you don’t really know musicals, I think we may have entered your subconscious mind 🔮🎹♟😂

I got that and the 70’s straight away but I needed the singing for the 60’s 😢 I was kinda getting there and should have been more patient but when the skips started repeating, I lost the run of myself 🤣
I knew the 60s & 70s straightaway, and I should have known the 80s one so well, but I need to skip to the lyrics to get there.

Well 2/3 for me and once again the 70s has been my downfall. I've heard of the artist alright but not familiar with that track at all.
60s and 80s are both instantly recognisable tunes even though I'd never have got the 60s artist's name. 80s track I love .
70s was a bit of a surprise. Not a repeat offender. I was lucky enough to witness it performed live by the artist. I’d deserve a good spanking if I didn’t get it. It’s well worth a good listen beyond Heardle’s 30 seconds. It’s from an album that invariably makes it onto lists of the greatest records ever made that you’ve never heard of or “100 Records That Set the World on Fire (While No One Was Listening)”.
80s is a classic we’ve posted many times here.
