Well I think all 3 decades could be repeat offenders today. 1 was only a week ago!
60s I hadn't a clue but I think that they are a repeat offender and knowing Major Hot Lips she will deduce the answer.
70s and 80s instantly recognisable. Even if you don't get the 70s 1 straight away you'll definitely get it with a skip or 2.
3 famous songs today including VH1’s choice of the greatest metal track of all time.
I shouldn’t have needed the guitar for the 70s track. As soon as I heard it
I remembered the song does indeed start with the 8 kick drum beats that had just been toying with me. Too late. Memories aren’t infallible. Especially mine.
Other than a minor blip where an instant thought that “No New Year’s Day” may be a title I did ok.

Well at least I beat you on the 70s track Major. But of course I was gonna get that 1 ! Classic drum intro, short but instantly recognisable . A bit like AC/DC's Back in Black it is unique.
60's I got straight away 😍
70's and 80's I needed the vocals. Should have gotten the 80's sooner, but sure look, I'll take the win/participation award 😂

Well I got all 3 today but needed skips on all 3.
The 80s was the easiest. The other 2 I needed the lyrics and then the help of Google for the answer so technically I only knew 1 and kinda cheated on the other 2.
Sweet Jaysus Heardle. I come home from a hard day down the mines- literally… no wait the other one- and now this.
Today’s education:
I’ve been singing the wrong words to the 60s song. It’s not the second word repeated. Heardle didn’t care and gave me the song and the artist from the first word I typed.
Artist name was either education or long since forgotten.
Artist name for the 70s was again either education or long since forgotten.
I know the singing. I got the singing.
Speaking of singing.
80s: I have learned not to be singing Carry Me Queen. Heardle offered me the title from Carry. At least I knew the artist this time and the part of the title in brackets.
All in all a total cringe day at the office. Let’s never try and figure out the score or mention it again.

80's I know the artist and the song but didn't recognise it from the intro.
