Another night of interrupted sleep but that's normal enough for me.

60s I got straight away.

70s Once again I haven't a clue, song or artist.

80s I probably should have got straight away but got there after 1 skip.

Why are the 70s tracks so obscure ?🤔

Even though I remember a cover of the 60s song better, the 60s and 80s suited me best. For the 80s though, until the last note of the orchestral swell on the second skip I was lost.

I think soul and blues folk would get the 70s but I was out of my depth.

I failed on the score front but gained on the discovery front. Outstanding voice. I would imagine this may be a forgotten performer but that’s most likely just me.

The singer had a tough life with addiction issues, prison and was dead by 41. Tough times.

This link is to the artist and contains spoilers. Great to see their legacy continue through samples bringing them to new audiences. I think I’ve heard the Wu-Tang Clan one but remembering is a different ball game.

60's and 80's suited me best too which doesn't say much because I needed multiple skips 😅

70's I'm afraid I don't know the artist or the song.

As I don't think you've got the Wu-Tang Clan on cassette. I think if you wait around long enough though CDs will probably become cool again too. 😉

Seeing as we’ve had Linda Ronstadt for Barney; and Mike Nesmith singing Different Drum, here’s Susanna Hoffs 😍

Goodnight everyone 🤗

And I still can’t see Forrest for the trees Lois. Ah, I found him on the music is music thread !

Not great Heardles for me today.

60s instantly recognisable.

70s I hadn’t a clue. I’ve heard of the artist from an 80s collaboration alright but just that 1 song.

80s I’m afraid I had to skip til the vocals started but got there in the end.

The 60s suited my memory bank best. The 70s and 80s were a struggle. Needed the singing both times. I tried to input the singer for the 70s track but was rejected- first name; second name; both names- so went with the band they sang with. I know the track and the singer more so but haven’t listened to it too many times. Spoiler: It’s regarded as a total funk classic and I’ve tried to get into it but it just doesn’t funk me.

Moving on from the total irrelevance of my being left cold, on the plus side there’s loads of interesting elements and innovation.

I needed the singing for the 80s and accepted Heardle’s only offer but I don’t have any memory of hearing the song. Scam. 2/3 for me.

I do remember the 80s track Margaret but like yourself I needed the singing to get it.

70s I said I knew from an 80s collaboration but obviously they were always together. Never would have guessed the singer on this track but fair play Major, you have the knowledge!😉
