17 August 1953. Singer-Songwriter Kevin Rowland was born in Wolverhampton. He’s the lead singer of the pop band, Dexys Midnight Runners (aka Dexys). The group had several hits in the early 1980s, most notablly, two UK No 1’s with Geno, and Come On Eileen.
