Officially 3 out of 3 for me.

But the reality says no way. 🤣

Thanks for the hint for the 80s Major Help. Heardle never heard of David Essex so never offered me a song title. I struggled for a few skips until I had a vague memory of a weird song called Rock something. That was enough for Heardle to finish the job and let me take a way a participation award.

Never heard of the 80s artist but Major Rubble should get a point for realising it was a cover of the “70s heart throb”. Def Leppard covered it again in the 2000s.

For the record, in the 60s, my red squares are for Albatross. It skipped on automatically, then I tried I’d Rather Go Blind by Chicken Shack. I stuck with Chicken Shack coz the sound was so like I’d Rather Go Blind and Heardle gave me the title that I would have struggled with.

So the real reality is 1 and a bit out of 3. 😋

Yellow Submarine is sung by Ringo but according to Wiki is a Lennon/McCartney song Major Summer. 🧐

Ringo wrote Don’t Pass Me By and Octopus’s Garden. The tweet said 3. Don’t know what the third is because even with co-writing 4 something doesn’t add up?

Well it's 3/3 in my books Major.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

And even if you insist on saying one and a half it still beats my 1/3.😉

Never heard of Chicken Shack so never was gonna get that 1.

And if I had picked Rock On for the 80s track I woulda been claiming full points for it regardless of the default!

Couldn't have done it without your help Major Lift. I first heard that version of I'd Rather Go Blind on Dave Fanning back in the day. He may even have played Albatross before it but that could be the memory playing tricks. 🤔

Someone in the front row of the video below is majorly high. Night Privates. 😘

Funny how in yesterday’s Word of the day I made up a story about Rock Hudson and James Dean and David Essex sings about Rock on Jimmy Dean – Maybe I was on to something after all !😜

And yes, now we're back on track!

3/3 and no skips. 70s is instantly recognisable but I was kinda pleased with myself to have got the other 2 immediately.

The 80s 1 I was almost gonna skip but a song came into my head and seeing as I had got the first 2 I just went for it and I was correct.

So for today only you can call me Major Smarty Pants !😁

Or Major Show Off 🤭😋

I kinda recognised the 60s one but had to skip a couple of times before I got the title, 70s was easy enough, and 80s I knew the artist immediately but had to skip once to think of the name of the song.

RIP Larry Gogan, but they didn’t suit me today at all  😂 Thankfully I got Sister Sledge 😍

Nile Rodgers would be upset with me if I got that wrong, seeing as he told me all about writing and producing for Sister Sledge when I met him a couple of years ago. I'm not certain if met is the right word, or if it was me or someone else of the 4,000 in the Marquee that he was talking to. But sure those are only trivial details 🤣🤣

Fabulous, L. And thanks for all the help today. Great posts. Thanks everyone. 👍👍👍

I think Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards (RIP) wrote and produced this one, below. Frankie was written by Denise Rich.
