60s I should have got immediately. but wasted skips til the opening lyrics. Definitely wouldn't have thought this was released in 1969 as I do remember it on Top Of The Pops (unless it was a re-release ). Either way I AM getting old. Correction, I AM OLD !
70s I wouldn't have got. No doubt Major Houlihan will get though.
80s I should have got immediately. Had the album on cassette tape and used to play it constantly in my car.

Love all of these but the first skips of the 80s classic—it has a standard beat and 80s drum sound that could've been any number of songs—without the guitar weren't that identifiable to my ears.

It was a mighty run from the Irish team. Amazing. Record time. Everyone ran up to their best on the biggest occasion. Credit to them all. Can’t believe we had 4 runners that good. So proud.
Watching the last leg again, the bronze medal winner, Amber Anning, ran wide all the way round the first bend well into the back straight and still held on. Fair play to her too. Femke Bol is top notch. And the US team were just out of this world. Just a pity it wasn’t a world record. What a night.
