Good morning on a wet Wednesday morning up here.
Dreadful news this morning about the shooting in Texas. It was on the news last night but the number of dead has risen since then.
19 primary school children murdered along with 2 of their teachers. These sort of incidents seem to be very commonplace in US High Schools and every time politicians say that something has to be done. Then another 1 and another 1….
This is 1 seriously fucked up country. Several states are going to ban abortion to protect the unborn. Yet it’s ok that children are capable of owning a gun many many years before they can buy cigarettes and alcohol.
The NRA have serious financial clout over there but it’s about time that ALL political parties distanced themselves from them.
Maybe this time politicians will have the balls to introduce tighter gun control especially with the sheer number murdered and the fact that they were so very very young.
But nothing happened after Sandy Hook.
Maybe this time ?
I really hope so. But I won’t be holding my breath. 😟
