That’s understandable but may be missing the point. It’s irrelevant how much of a joke we may think Instagram is, but multiply this reaction by millions and wonder- what if it’s a huge big thing for a whole generation of young Russians? Imagine if there was a revolution over something seemingly innocuous rather than the invasion of Ukraine, Putin’s war crimes and propaganda where information has been withheld from so many.

Here's the thing about @Visa and @Mastercard leaving Russia: it only affects Visa/Mastercard transactions on cards from Russian banks *outside* Russia. These cards continue to work *in* Russia. This punishes Russians who fled the country, i.e., those who oppose Putin and the war.
