14 deaths Lois, that's a higher figure than I would have been expecting.
But then again who will ever know how many of those 14 actually died of Covid.

I’d say 14 is almost invariably of Covid, BR. If any of the 14 turn out to be incorrect after autopsies, they get removed from the overall figure of 3031 and we see notifications and reductions posted along those lines.
Then again the NISRA figures suggest over 4000 deaths.

Not disputing that they had Coronavirus in the 28 days before death CC, just wondering in how many cases was it the actual cause of death ?
Usually this last while the figure is something like 3 or 4 deaths. 14 is a lot more than the average daily total.

Unless revised at a later date after autopsies it was the actual cause of death in 14 cases. The NISRA article is about deaths being under-counted by 1000, not over-counted. A jump in figures on one particular may relate to data collection, late reports and back-dating. It’s always best to look at the figures over time. Daily figures leads to distortions especially when there were holiday days with no reporting. Otherwise, we may see 4 deaths one day (expected) and think “of Covid” and 14 another day (unexpected) and think the goalposts have been moved. What’s happened- are they now reporting “with Covid”?
It’s dangerous territory. The “with” not “of” has been every conspiracy theorists go-to play since the dawn of the pandemic.

“With” not “of” has had a resurgence in recent days because of a CDC report that 78% of vaccinated deaths included 4 or more co-morbidities. The number of vaccinated deaths in the actual study was 36.
