Score looks way more impressive than the reality. Not sure how I would have fared without the Major’s hints. I was three-quarters confident of the 60s but I took the hint that it was an all time classic and chanced it. If I hadn’t gone with the first skip I would’ve had to wait until the fourth to be sure. I think that happened yesterday too. You could be confident on the first skip and then lose faith.
70s was pretty much recognisable straightaway but I was afraid of getting it wrong seeing as the Major put the pressure on by finding it instantly recognisable. 😮 80s I took from the hint that it was a SAW track and either who it turned out to be or Jason Donovan. 😂 And when I didn’t recognise the title I thought that has to be it. And it was. Another repeat artist. Thanks Heardle and the Major.

Yeah I really shoulda got the 60s 1 straight off and after 6.23 seconds I KNEW that I really shoulda got it straight away Major Hottie!🙄
Anyway even if you left me some cryptic clues they'd need to be staring me in the face for me to have any chance.

60's I wasn't confident of till the vocals kicked in. 70's straight away. 80's I got even without listening to the song from your great clues that it was something to do with Rick rolled - nailed it 🤣 A great team effort 😍🏆

Quote from Barney Rubble on October 7, 2022, 1:03 amI really should go to bed earlier and leave this to the morning. Once again we have at least 1 repeat offender - very obvious just days apart but believe me Major you don't need that clue !
60s and 80s are obvious straight away.
70s I totally fecked up. The intro did sound very familiar but I had to skip to the end til the singing started. Recognised the singer and then I thought mmm, maybe not .
Then I picked something totally obscure instead. Couldn't even tell you the song or the artist. I just typed in a few letters and picked the most obscure 1 that came up.
Now if I had have typed the artist I originally thought of I would have got it but there you go. I'll just put it down to lack of sleep.😴😴

Speaking of—has anyone noticed the skips are uneven in the 60s and 70s almost always—maybe 2 seconds then possibly one then maybe 3—but a totally even 2 seconds each skip every time in the 80s Number 1s. Also today's 80s didn't start for the first second leaving a chord that briefly sounded like a Dearly Beloved We Are Gathered chord. Don't let that fool you Major Karaoke Queen—I won't offer any cryptic clues in case they get lost in translation.

And I had noticed that only recently that the skips aren't always uniform. What's that all about ?🤔

Quote from Lois Hi on October 7, 2022, 10:50 pmThanks for your non-cryptic/not actually clues at all, Margaret 😅
But despite the fact that I love Lost in Translation and I especially love Bill Murray's karaoke version of More Than This, I had completely forgotten that he also sang What's So Funny About Peace Love and Understanding. Hence, I have missed a golden, once in a lifetime opportunity to beat Major Barney. Not that it's a competition. We're all a team 🤗
60's straight in. 80's straight in. 😎😂
Naked Twister for me and Barney for finishing joint not winners. Not a competition 😂
