The number of followers—Aaron has 800,000+—was a more obvious way to know they were real. The platform’s reputation and traffic were built on the back of their and others free content.
Apartheid Clyde didn’t like the attention others got for their content. He sold $8 monthly blue checkmarks to mimic real blue checks to his fanboy, KKK nutjobs. Why? Who knows—maybe to end the system of recognising the talent that made Twitter worth about half of the $44 billion he was forced to pay for it. Maybe, to destroy intelligent conversation calling for taxing the rich AKA what the emerald mine inheritor calls the “woke mind virus”.

There’s one with 300,000 views and 16,000 likes. It went up by another 1000 likes while I was reading all the “hell no” responses.
