Related to the Bernie Cornfeld, this is believed to be David Stein AKA David Marcus AKA David the Pimp

He may have procured some talent for the late financer and is believed to have had a possible connection with a still unsolved murder in 1977, of a talented and beautiful actress who lived for a time in Cornfeld’s 39-room LA property. Check out this site to learn more:

David the Pimp was written about in New York magazine in 1972. That article appeared in this book by Gail Sheehy.

Gail’s book has this dedication.

Chapter Six in Hustlers is devoted to David the Pimp. The opening chapter serves as an introduction and includes an outline of the self-described “second greatest pimp in New York”.

The original 1972 New York magazine article was referenced in a Village Voice article by Jonathan Black from May 18 1972.

While describing the build-up to Paradise nightclub opening in LA it details David the Pimp’s life and relationship with the venture’s financier Cornfeld.

There seem to be parallels between the recent case of an internet self-promoter providing enough ammunition for a prosecution case through endless descriptions about themselves, their webcamming business and their war room. David the Pimp appears to have been a walking confession.

It alludes to legal trouble brewing that is in turn referenced in Gail Sheehy’s 1973 book.
